The Prime Minister of France , Jean Castex , has assured that health professionals who are not immunized as of September 15 , the maximum date that was set, will be sanctioned . The politician justified this decision by referring to the cases of infections that have occurred in residences in recent times.
«We will not go back,» Castex remarked in an interview with the RTL station, a conversation in which he alluded to a residence in which older people were infected by the staff in charge of caring for them. «Nobody can understand that,» he maintained.
«We have exceeded 83% of health workers vaccinated. Our tactic has had effects, » he said. In this context, the prime minister has declared that the third dose that has been approved for those over 65 and for people with diseases that pose a risk in case of COVID-19 will begin to be administered in residences from 12 and September 13 .
